Preview to PRiSM!

Now as most of you know the Jabbawockeez do not allow filming or photography at their Vegas shows. I have ALWAYS respected that and always will. So please don't think this is going against what they have requested. This video was actually posted by the Official Vegas YouTube account, so they had permission to film this. I figured I'd share it with you so you can get a better idea of what to expect for the new show! Enjoy, Wockeez!

Big Boys Doin Big Things!

It's been a really busy week for the guys. Not only did their new show, PRiSM, start this week at the Luxor, but they were also crazy busy rehearsing and performing on the Billboard Awards with Taylor Swift. I just have to say that I am so proud of these guys. Not only for headlining their own show on the Las Vegas strip (but really, how cool is that?!) but for being able to perform on an awards show that thousands of people tune in to. I want them to be seen. I want them to be recognized. Why? Because they deserve it! Half the performers on the show last night didn't even really perform. They were just up there lip-synching, but the Jabbawockeez ALWAYS perform at 150%. That's TRUE talent. They can't get up there and fake it like the other "artists" do. So for that, I have to say that they were the highlight of the entire show. So proud of them for getting to do what they love and having fun doing it!

A celebration of imagination, the show is an eclectic mix of awe-inspiring choreography, captivating storylines and stunning special effects, forming a production that challenges audiences to embrace the unexpected. Jabbawockeez became the first dance crew to headline a show on the Strip in 2010 with the wildly successful "MUS.I.C.," which premiered at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino and later moved to Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. Continuing the relationship with the MGM Resorts International family, the crew is bringing an original concept to Luxor with a production featuring all new everything including a state-of-the-art set, cutting-edge technology, inventive costumes and the latest music combined with a specially designed, custom-built theater.

"The dance creations of Jabbawockeez will be celebrated in a new Las Vegas theater when the troupe moves to the Luxor Hotel and Casino starting May 18.

 

When it opens in the new, 830-seat, amphitheater-style venue, the group will deliver a revamped production that will incorporate chart-topping music and original tracks by the Bangerz, the company’s own recording artists.

 

The dancers don white gloves and expressionless masks to shift the audience’s attention away from individual performers and toward the unified group. Together, they create artistic imagery through intricate moves.

 

The dancers will have new costumes when they hit the stage of the purpose-built theater, complete with new sets and a sophisticated sound system.

 

Jabbawockeez, champions of MTV’s “Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew” -- were the first such group to headline a show on the Strip. Beginning in 2010, they performed at the MGM Grand and, later, at the Monte Carlo.

 

Tickets, priced from $55, are available online beginning Friday. There will be 7 p.m. performances on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays, with additional 9:30 p.m. shows on Fridays and Saturdays. The production will be dark on Tuesdays and Wednesdays."

 

 

I think it's safe to say we aren't the only ones excited for the new show! Also, I got my hands on the new Jabba Theater seating chart at the Luxor, so if you're purchasing tickets you can pick out your exact seats and know where you'll be seated! Front row and center is always a nice choice. ;)

 

All New Everything.

It's official! The guys are back! Their new show PRiSM, which you can catch at The Luxor Hotel & Casino starting on May 18th, will be the Jabbawockeez new home for the next six years. That's right, they have a six year contract.

Who is excited?! I can't wait to see what the guys have come up with this time!
